Street Photography Workshop

Join three epic tutors for a hands-on street photography workshop. Learn about light, composition, and even editing in our full day event!

Why This Workshop Is Different

Most workshops get bogged down with technical talk and theory. We want you out there with your camera!

Pick our brains as we walk through some of our favourite routes. We’ll be there to answer any questions and give suggestions as we walk.

Throughout the day we will be joined by special guests to make sure we have as many photo opportunities as possible. This could be dancers, models, or performers. We will change it up each time! Here you can interact with our guests in an urban environment and come away with a varied and unique set of images.

What You Will Learn

We want it so that by the end of the day you will have some images you’re really proud of. We will get out and about right away with our cameras, then head back in the afternoon for some hands-on photo editing!

Emily will lead our photo editing workshop, and you’re welcome to follow along with your own images, so feel free to bring a laptop or tablet. We will have a secure room available to us for the full day to use as a base.

Throughout the day you’ll discover how to:

  • Spot and capture compelling street moments
  • Use light, shadow, lines and geometry to strengthen your compositions
  • Work confidently with people and moving subjects
  • Read a scene so you know where the story is happening
  • Choose settings that help you shoot fast and intuitively
  • Enjoy shooting without overthinking every shot

We’ll be out on real streets, practising with guidance and feedback, with an additional editing session to round off the day.
